Molex CES partners with AssetGen for enterprise Infrastructure Audit and Documentation services.

Lisle, Illinois – February 24, 2017 – Molex CES, a global provider of turnkey IT infrastructure deployment services and solutions, today announced that it has been appointed a global sales and services partner by AssetGen Limited, UK manufacturer of AssetGen infrastructure documentation systems. Molex will use AssetGen as part of its global project management and implementation services, as well as provide audit and configuration services for the AssetGen range.

“We will be using the AssetGen system for delivery of our enterprise project management services as well introducing services focused on IP asset and audit discovery” said Christophe Hinet RCDD, Strategic Solutions Director for Molex Connected Enterprise Solutions. “All the customers we have engaged with have identified that delivering and maintaining accurate infrastructure documentation is a challenge to their skills and resources, resulting in higher costs of ownership and less confidence that the network is totally secure. The expanding use of IoT based devices only makes it worse, so our documentation services give the baseline customers need to manage a larger, more complex estates. One of the things we really liked about AssetGen is that it enables us to automate the creation of multiple physical and logical Visio diagrams – so it can cover legacy infrastructure as well as cloud based systems.”

Simon Hewitt, Global Service Operations Director at Molex CES added “At start of every infrastructure upgrade or transformation project we ask the customer for their infrastructure documentation, often to find it isn’t adequate for our detailed planning and delivery. I needed a better approach for my project managers to manage inventory lists and Visio diagrams more effectively, so most of their time can be spent coordinating customer and contractor teams. Providing good, as-built handover documentation doesn’t require any extra effort.”

“We’re pleased that Molex has adopted our solution as part of their services portfolio” said David Cuthbertson, Commercial Director at AssetGen Ltd. “We have worked mainly with end-user customers globally, who have been looking for a services partner like Molex CES for many years. I think they will find a huge demand for their discovery services, delivering infrastructure data and best practices with AssetGen.”
