Molex CES releases new Category 6A Shielded IP67 Connectivity Solution

While harsh environment (Industrial Ethernet) connectivity has been marketed for industrial automation and manufacturing environments for some time, there are many facilities where the conditions are not quite so harsh but needs work area connectivity that is more robust than the standard data outlet found in an office environment.

Installing the structured cabling system in university research facilities, warehouses, restaurants, medical and scientific services for example, where the network cabling must extend to kitchens, test laboratories or dusty storage facilities requires a work area outlet solution that does not need frequent replacement because of the damage inflicted by heat, water, dust or dirt generated by the day-to-day activities undertaken in those facilities, but is robust enough to maintain network reliability in these environments. 

Molex C6A IP67 Work Area Connectivity Range achieves 4 connector (worse case) channel compliance when installed with Molex C6A Toolless Keystone Jack part no KSJ-00079. This connectivity range meets the performance requirements of ANSI/TIA-568-D.2 and ISO/IEC 11801 Category 6A for worse case four connector channel performance when installed with Molex Category 6A shielded Keystone jack part no KSJ-00079 only.
