MIIM
Copper Panels
The MIIM G3 copper patch panel is used to track connectivity in the patch zone area. LED indicators show connectivity status and provide patching guidance based on work orders. Each Copper Patch Panels consist 24 Keystone jacks in 1U space.
Fiber Panels
The MIIM G3 Fiber patch panel is used by the system to track connectivity in the patch zone area. LED indicators show connectivity status and provide patching guidance based on work order. Each MIIM G3 Fiber Patch Panels consist 24 LC Duplex adapter in 1U space.
Scanners
MIIM scanners work with the server application software and patch panels to coordinate work order management, provide LED patch guidance, and to sense and convey the status of connectivity. Each 1U scanner can be connected to up to 48 patch panels providing monitoring of up to 576 cross-connect or 1152 interconnect physical channels.
Control
The MIIM G3 Intelligent control unit enables MIIM ready panels to sense adds, moves, and changes across all 24 ports on the panel. The control unit contains LED’s to provide indication of the connection. Modules can be easily added to MIIM ready panels to activate full capabilities. The control unit contains an RJ45 jack to connect it to the MIIM scanner via a standard patch cord.
Software
MIIM Software is the central data manager for the MIIM G3 system. It manages OSI Layer 1 infrastructure elements and provides instantaneous information to the IT Manager about connectivity on MIIM enabled channels. The software documents planned work orders and detects unplanned (ad-hoc) changes to the network. It allows continuous monitoring the patch area connection.
