We are pleased to announce that Molex Connected Enterprise Solutions has an agreement with CBI Electric Telecom Cables to support locally manufactured cables for the Southern and sub-Saharan regions of Africa.

South Africa-based CBI Electric Telecom Cables operates in a number of different sectors of the electrical and telecommunications industries. With considerable expertise in these fields, CBI has been designing and manufacturing cables at their factory near Johannesburg since 1935, growing their technological capabilities in line with international trends.

Working alongside local companies like CBI Electric Telecom Cables is an important tenet of Molex’s business ethos as it enables us to invest in-country and support local economies. CBI Electric Telecom Cables shares Molex’s commitment to the continual development of new technology that makes life easier and more productive for the end user, creating clear synergies between the two companies.

Drawing on local manufacturing capacity is critical for reducing delivery timelines and import duties that have only become more onerous since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. It also allows local Molex teams greater flexibility in delivering the products that are required by their customers.

CBI Electric Telecom Cables’ fiber cable coupled with Molex range of high quality optical fiber components which complement our structured cabling range. These products are eligible for our 25-year System Performance and Application Assurance Warranty when used as part of a qualifying solution.

This Warranty is the guaranteed assurance that Molex Connected Enterprise Solutions offers its clients, providing long-term peace of mind in the face of ever-changing IT infrastructure requirements.

With the technical resources of both companies within-country we are well placed to support customers across South and sub-Saharan Africa.
