These Protectors are available in two lengths – 61mm and 45mm – whilst offering an installed outside diameter of only 2.4mm. Each Splice Protector is reinforced with a stainless steel pin ensuring the maximum possible protection for the delicate fusion splices.
To install, simply slide the protector over the fiber prior to splicing. After completion of the splice, heat shrink it into position to give permanent protection to the splice area.
