About
It is Cisco’s vision to create workspace experiences that support RTO strategies and foster corporate culture, while also supporting sustainability and social responsibility targets. Their Paris office, located in the “Triangle d’Or” business district, is the latest to benefit from a smart building overhaul.
Cisco Paris HQ is a perfect example of a heritage building. They are a common challenge in Europe’s city centers: on one hand it’s important to reach net zero emissions, but on the other there are regulations that restrict how alterations can be carried out. Fostering hybrid work requires rethinking what a workspace needs to be and understanding what employees actually value. Time in the office emphasises collaboration and teamwork: at the Paris premises, collaboration spaces have been increased from 9% to 67% of the available 5962m2, and individual workspaces decreased from 574 to 161. 100% of collaboration spaces are video-enabled, making it easy for off-site teammates to join in meetings.

High quality data is essential for gathering insights and automating routine operations. At Cisco’s Paris office, over 8,000 data points are harvested, including occupancy, air quality, temperature and humidity. This data is used to maximise natural daylight, ensure thermal comfort and measure and display air quality. It enables the impact of business decisions to be accurately monitored and the building operations to be made more efficient across facilities, sustainability, HR and real estate teams.
Space Utilization
Occupancy data, provided by hundreds of Molex sensors, is the essential foundation of all smart building operations – from turning systems off in unoccupied rooms to tracking which spaces are popular at which times of day.
Thermal Comfort
Uncomfortable temperatures are a common complaint in many offices, and can make employees unwilling to return. Real-time temperature data from Molex sensors ensures environments stay comfortable.
True Air Quality
Molex sensors throughout the facility monitor a range of air quality parameters, including CO2, humidity and VOCs, to ensure workspaces are healthy.
